2026: The Year We Choose Meaning Over Noise

An Editorial Feature by Chalcedony Network Media In a world racing endlessly for attention, speed, and applause, the most radical decision we can make today is to pause. To reflect. To choose meaning over noise. As 2026 unfolds, Chalcedony Network Media begins the year not with a shout, but with intention. Not with spectacle, but with substance. Because beyond trending headlines and viral moments lies a deeper hunger—one for truth, empathy, purpose, and human connection. The Cost of Noise Noise is everywhere. It competes for our eyes, our ears, and increasingly, our values. It is found in rushed judgments, sensational storytelling, and conversations stripped of compassion. In media, noise often disguises itself as relevance—quick clicks, fleeting outrage, and stories told without context or conscience. But noise fades. Meaning endures. Meaning demands patience. It requires listening deeply, verifying facts carefully, and telling stories with responsibility. It asks us to consider not j...

Love, Money and Power: A Senior Debate on Ariya 100.3 FM

By Timileyin Oriowo Some conversations do more than fill airtime; they provoke thought, challenge values and linger long after the programme ends. One such conversation unfolded on Tuesday during Eku Ise, a popular weekday programme on Ariya 100.3 FM, where the age-long question of Love, Money and Power took centre stage. The programme, aired between 2pm and 4pm from Monday to Friday, is hosted by veteran broadcaster Kazeem Ajibola, popularly known as Babalabule Ijoba Oro, alongside his dynamic co-host Omolola Ola, fondly called Iya Gbogbo. Among them was Comrade Gbesele from Agbede, Ikorodu, who firmly chose Money as the most senior among the three. His argument resonated with many callers who maintained tha...

Five Months After: A Reflection on the Life and Legacy of Rev. Bukunmi Olarenwaju Oriowo

By Timileyin Oriowo  It is hard to believe that five months have passed since the demise of my brother, Rev. Bukunmi Olarenwaju Oriowo. The transition from 2025 into 2026 was marked with profound grief, as the memory of his absence weighed heavily on our hearts. During the church service, the atmosphere was one of both chaos and deep emotion—a collective expression of loss and remembrance. Every word spoken in his memory reminded us of his remarkable life and the moments we shared, taking us back to the same season last year when he was still with us on this earth. The bitterness of this period lies not only in his absence but in the vivid contrast between then and now. Where once there was shared laughter, counsel, and presence, there now exists silence, reflection, and longing. It is a season that compels introspection, not only about the fragility of life but also about the enduring impact of a life well-lived. Yet, in the midst of sorrow, faith offers solace. The Scriptures ass...
