Motayo Hotel, Pakuro, officially reopened on Friday, January 16, 2026, in an event anchored and packaged by Ajibola Kazeem, popularly known as Babalabule Ijoba Oro, a veteran radio presenter and master of ceremonies whose long-standing presence in Nigeria’s broadcast and entertainment industry shaped the tone and structure of the celebration.

The reopening ceremony, which also marked the birthday of Omolara, combined corporate hospitality with entertainment and fan appreciation, drawing guests from the media, hospitality, entertainment, and business sectors. Organised under the platform of Babalabule Ijoba Entertainment, the event reflected the broadcaster’s experience in curating structured, culturally relevant programmes.

Live performances formed a central part of the evening, with Fuji artiste Remi Aluko headlining the stage. His performance, alongside appearances by other supporting artists, sustained audience engagement and reinforced the celebratory atmosphere that defined the reopening.

A major highlight of the programme was the award presentation segment initiated by Babalabule Ijoba Entertainment to recognise loyal supporters and distinguished guests. Award recipients included Akinsanya Ismail, Shoneye Azeez, Abubakr Aremu Hammed (popularly known as Olododo), Oluwagbenga Oluwatosin (CEO, Dynamic Lounge), Jawesola Saheed, Oluwaseun Leo (CEO, Cabana Aura Zone), Bello Adebayo, Femi Omotayo Popoola, and Chief Abisogun (Otun Aje ni Ise of Isheri Olofin, Lagos).

The event also attracted notable personalities from the Yoruba film industry. Among the dignitaries present were actor Olayemi Jimoh, popularly known as Yenkem, and veteran actor Adewale Michael Alebiosun, whose presence added cultural prestige and industry depth to the gathering.

Beyond its entertainment value, the reopening of Motayo Hotel represents a renewed phase in its hospitality operations within Pakuro. According to organisers, the relaunch aims to reposition the hotel as a refreshed destination for lodging, social events, and corporate functions, with improved services aligned to contemporary hospitality standards.

Visual sessions captured during the ceremony including stage performances, award moments, and guest interactions are expected to accompany this publication, providing documentary context and strengthening public engagement.

The ceremony stood not only as a corporate milestone for Motayo Hotel and a personal celebration for Omolara, but also as a reflection of Ajibola Kazeem’s enduring influence in Nigeria’s broadcast and event-hosting landscape, where media professionalism continues to shape public entertainment and cultural expression.
