Youth: Plan, Prepare, and Proceed with Caution

As we navigate the complexities of life, it's essential to remember that every journey, no matter how exciting or promising, requires careful planning, preparation, and consideration. Many young individuals, fueled by enthusiasm and a sense of adventure, have embarked on journeys without adequate preparation, only to find themselves overwhelmed, struggling to cope, and facing unforeseen challenges.

The consequences of such actions can be severe. Some have found themselves in precarious situations, with their names being declared wanted due to their inability to manage the circumstances that arose during their journey. It's crucial to recognize that every decision, every action, and every step we take has consequences that can impact our lives and the lives of those around us.

As young individuals, it's vital to understand the importance of setting clear goals, planning meticulously, and preparing ourselves for the challenges that lie ahead. This involves assessing our financial capacity, evaluating our emotional and mental preparedness, and considering the potential risks and consequences of our actions.

Before embarking on any journey, it's essential to ask ourselves:

  • What are my goals and objectives?
  • Have I prepared myself financially, emotionally, and mentally?
  • What are the potential risks and challenges, and how will I overcome them?
  • Do I have a clear plan and strategy in place?

By taking the time to reflect on these questions and carefully plan our journey, we can avoid many of the pitfalls and challenges that might otherwise arise. We can ensure that our journey is marked by purpose, direction, and a clear sense of accomplishment.

To the youth, I offer these words of caution and advice: don't venture into a journey without proper preparation and planning. Take the time to assess your capacity, evaluate your goals, and prepare yourself for the challenges that lie ahead.

Remember, every journey begins with a single step, and every decision has consequences that can impact our lives and the lives of those around us. Let us proceed with caution, wisdom, and foresight, that we might navigate the complexities of life with confidence, purpose, and direction.

Friday, 29th of August 2025, will remain forever engraved in our memories — the day we laid my beloved brother, Rev. Bukunmi Olarenwaju Oriowo, to rest.
