Recognizing the Importance of Divine Safety

In today's world, where technology and human ingenuity have created sophisticated systems to protect us, it's easy to become complacent and rely solely on these earthly safeguards. However, despite the advancements in security measures, there remains an undeniable truth: there is a safety that transcends human capability, a safety that can only be executed by a higher power – God.


No matter how advanced our security systems may be, they are not infallible. They can fail, be breached, or prove inadequate in the face of unforeseen circumstances. Human protection, though valuable and necessary, has its limits. It is in these moments of vulnerability that the need for a divine safety net becomes most apparent.

Faith in God provides a sense of security that goes beyond physical protection. It offers spiritual solace, peace of mind, and the assurance that one is not alone in times of trouble. For many, the belief in a higher power watching over them brings comfort and strength, enabling them to face challenges with courage and resilience.

There will inevitably be times in life when human solutions fall short, and the only recourse is to turn to God for safety and deliverance. These moments of desperation can be transformative, teaching us the value of humility, faith, and dependence on a power greater than ourselves. It is in these moments that the importance of God in our lives becomes most evident.

Recognizing God's role in our safety and well-being is not about diminishing the value of human efforts but about acknowledging the limitations of those efforts. It is about understanding that true safety and security come from a combination of human responsibility and divine protection. By acknowledging God's sovereignty, we can find peace in knowing that we are protected not just by human means but by a power that is all-knowing and all-powerful.

As we navigate the complexities of life, it's essential to reflect on the role of God in our safety and security. In a world filled with uncertainties, acknowledging and embracing the divine aspect of protection can bring a profound sense of peace and assurance. Let us not be deceived into thinking that human systems alone are enough; rather, let us recognize the indispensable role of faith in our lives.

Friday, 29th of August 2025, will remain forever engraved in our memories — the day we laid my beloved brother, Rev. Bukunmi Olarenwaju Oriowo, to rest.
