Time has a way of moving forward even when the heart is still learning how to follow. In the quiet unfolding of days and months, the absence of Rev. Bukunmi Olarenwaju Oriowo has become a profound reminder of how deeply one life can touch many. Though seasons have changed, the weight of his departure remains tender in our hearts, a reminder of a servant of God who laid down his earthly labour and entered into eternal rest.

There are moments we cannot forget, moments when his facial expression spoke volumes, when his voice faded into silence, and when every earthly hope of reconnecting with him slowly slipped away. We worried. We prayed. We waited. We searched for reassurance in every breath and movement, holding on until faith itself had to teach us how to let go.

His departure left behind a quiet ache, a space where counsel once flowed, where prayers were shared, and where presence brought peace. The silence is real. The separation is painful. Yet, as people of faith, our grief is not without meaning or direction.

The Scriptures remind us that death is not an ending but a passage. It is not defeat but rest. Rev. Bukunmi’s journey did not conclude in silence; it continued in glory. He has only gone ahead into the embrace of eternity, awaiting the fulfillment of a promise that binds all believers together.

We hold fast to the hope of the resurrection morning. A day promised by God, when the trumpet shall sound and those who sleep in Christ shall rise. On that glorious morning, voices once silenced will be restored. Bodies once frail will be made whole. Separation will give way to reunion, and sorrow will be swallowed up in everlasting joy.

Until that day comes, we choose remembrance over despair. We honor his life, his faith, his service, and the values he stood for. Though earth has lost a beloved servant, heaven has gained a soul at rest.

Sleep on, Rev. Bukunmi Olarenwaju Oriowo.

Rest in peace until we meet again in glory.
